I also took a stroll this afternoon downtown to the main square. It is very Spanish with it's Basilica downtown with a large park adjacent to it. Most towns that I have seen have this type of set up with the Passeo where there are gardens and trees and benches and the people congregate here just visiting and watching people pass by.
I have gone down here several nites and took a bench and just watched the locals interacting. One windy night there was a lot of things falling out of the trees and it turns out it is a papaya tree and the fruit is ripe and ready to eat.
Of course the main intersection in town has a Burger King on one side and a McPoops on the other. I guess there is no escaping it. In fact, the McPoops appears to be one of the hot spots in the evening where the young folks like to hang out and eat. So sad!
But you know, Life is still Good...
