Photos taken from my visit with the Mainlands.
It was great to visit my old friends from earlier days in Yellowknife. They live in a remote area in the interior of BC - called Meadow Creek.
It's a lifestyle that I could not handle. I love the place and it is very cosy.. but.. it takes a special type of person to thrive in this type of atmosphere.. they are doing well and totally enjoying their lifestyle. They have such great skills from keeping machinery running, growing their garden, chickens..
Janet and Jim's oldest son Duncan is 33 and he and my Jillie are the same age and were the best of friends in their early days in Yellowknife.
It was so nice to visit with old buddies... Jim even got me to have a nip of single malt scotch which had an unique taste that I quit enjoyed.
Life is good....
Some photos from my last days on Vancouver Island
It was a nice stay, in spite of the rain... some great time with my girls... blossoms sprouting.. and I got to stand on a ledge with a humongous drop on my "backside"...
As I was posting these pics.. made me feel just really really good... these are memories already but memories of the time spent with my grand daughters are wonderful.. I love them so much.
Life is good...

Interesting ride yesterday
Yesterday I took a drive up to Apex ski resort just out of Keremos with the Hartmans. It was amazing in that the ski resort was closed... summer season but the snow was so deep you couldn't drive into the parking lot. There was snow 3-4 feet deep on the roofs of the houses and condos and I must admit I was nervous about driving in the area as the road is like an old logging road and not to safe in the best of conditions.
Fortunately the snow lessened a lot on the way down the "other" side ...still very narrow but not bad. We took a couple of pics... my camera batteries were dead so I got a couple of pics from Cathy.
Yes.. I was standing within 6 feet of the ledge that went straight DOWN several hundred meters.
Getting brave old man.... Life is Good.

of course, wet = Good at times...
It's early in the season and blooms are blooming. But tomorrow it will probably rain again.
It's a pretty setting.. but I couldn't take the constant rain.. time to move on and find high and dry..
Haven't even taken out my golf clubs yet.. arrrgh..
but Life is Good.... love my time with the girls.
All in all.. it's too wet here for me...
I don't think I could cope with the rain at this time of year... If the place is resplendent in it's green colours.. that mean it rains too much..
That's exactly what I'm say'in- but
Life is Good.

Another beautiful sunny day... Miracle Beach Provincial Park
WoW... another lovely day and another short hike in Miracle Beach Park... some pretty nice changes in scenery in a matter of about a 1/2 hour stroll.
After this stroll through paradise.. what better way to end the day than a stop into Serious Coffee for an americana and read the local paper...
yes.. Life is Good.

Beautiful day to hike the Oyster River Park.
Some kind of glow in the sky today... makes the outside weather have some kind of foreign warm feel to it.. Thought I'd take advantage of it and go for a Sunday stroll.
It was beautiful... watched some fishermen practising their fly fishing technique. It's Cutthroat Trout season.. they are a sea going Trout and supposed to be a fine eating fishie..
This bridge is a single traffic bridge right outside the local pub.. not sure if it's single traffic as a sobriety test or just cause....
Life is Good...
